Pursue new challenges over taking a conservative approach. ROHTO encourages employees to get away from their regular work and get new experiences outside of the company or department. This simultaneous work style may lead to the discovery of new abilities. We help employees grow in various ways and pursue new career possibilities.

    Once a year, each employee writes their medium-to-long term career vision and the things they want to try on the My Vision Sheet. Management looks over these sheets and, out of consideration for the individual, manages human resources in a way where the employee and company can grow together.

    We encourage employees to have an interest in their career development and to grow by trying new jobs and building relationships while getting experience in other departments. With unexpected job transfers, our culture allows employees to expand their career horizons and aim for a work style that utilizes their strengths.

    Parallel work (External Challenge Work) allow employees to get work experience outside of ROHTO to create new career opportunities. We also have introduced concurrent positions (In-house Double Job), which is a system where employees can voluntarily work in another department during work hours in order to improve their skills and motivation.

Asuniwa Project for supporting intrapreneurs

Supporting change when employees take action.

Asuniwa is a project where we provide support to employees to intrapreneurship businesses based on original ideas that solve social challenges. We support the dreams and ideas of employees as a first step toward achieving a diverse work style not bound by a company framework. In order to achieve well-being in society, we have established seven companies as of June 2023.

This is an initiative vital for ROHTO's health management where employees take action for their own health to improve the overall health of the company. Walk. Run. Answer drills. ARUCO coins embody a daily commitment to health. They can be redeemed for healthy lunches, health goods, and educational content to create a more fulfilling daily life.   1. Toko-challe

    01

    This is a walking event held once or twice a year. It helps establish exercise habits and stimulate internal communication.

  2. Strength measurements

    These are taken every fall as an opportunity to start strength building. Over 90% of all employees participate in this event.

  3. Athletic event

    This is a large event where around 1,600 employees from all companies gather in one place in teams that span divisions and age groups to compete in obstacle courses, tug of war, relay races and other competitions.
