Q What brought you to ROHTO?

Well, when I was working as a pharmacist in Taiwan, I was already aware of the ROHTO brand. Additionally, Mentholatum AD and ointment can be considered staple medical supplies in many Taiwanese households. Furthermore, in terms of analysis related to my major, it was difficult to find appropriate analytical R&D jobs in pharmaceutical companies in Taiwan. I also have a very positive impression of Japan.
Considering all these factors, when I found that ROHTO (internal medicine) was conducting a research on traditional medicine in collaboration with Professor Li Shui-sheng of the Pharmacy Department at the National Taiwan University, I figured I should give it a shot when I saw a bulletin about a global recruitment program.

Q What is your current duty?

Regarding Analytical Technology G and Global R&D Double Job, In terms of analysis task, our analytical technology group focused on three aspects: basic research, product-related analysis, and requested analysis. In basic research, we carried out technological development for creating new value, for product-related analysis, we aimed at quality assurance by not only conducting food analysis and stability tests for external products application and product development, but also contributing to the cooperation between departments. With request analysis, we provided problem-solving solutions to requests from other departments, contributing to product launches and strategy implementation.
As part of the international business division, I devoted my efforts towards two domains. I gathered information for promotional development in relation to health food evidence response. For regulations and research related to eye drops intended for overseas markets, I conducted a survey on oversea regulations and market trends.
In addition, there were also collaborative proposals with the Food Department and the GHR Department.

Q Who(what kind of experience, strength, or personality they have)do you want to work with?

I am eager to collaborate with individuals who are friendly, rational thinkers, and effective communicators. I value working with those who possess a passion for life and their careers.
Furthermore, I appreciate colleagues who seek a harmonious working environment.
In simple terms, friendly, respectful, passionate, and collaborative.

Q What made you grow more on your career, as like turning point?

There are many comprehensive factors. I think one is that proficiency in Japanese improves, understanding and communicating in Japanese allows for a deeper connection.
Secondly, close cooperation with other departments (Food/International Business/Regulation) and participating in some internal activities and proposals gave me a lot of different ideas and future career image.

Q What do you want to implement near future?

Firstly, I want to focus on making contributions that span various departments and work on strengthening collaborations with international deployments and other divisions. While deepening my own technical skills, I aim to enhance my expertise through researching and studying various analytical methods and basic knowledge. I plan to strengthen the collaborative relationship with our subsidiaries and promote relationship building with other companies and deepen cooperation with overseas academic institutions.
Within international business, I aim to strengthen the collaboration between our in-house research and development department and overseas counterparts. Moreover, I will approach regulations interpretation and understanding from an R&D perspective, accurately conveying future strategies and business opportunities based on changes in laws and regulations. Besides overseas applications and registrations, I will aim to contribute to the company from business and R&D perspectives.

Q What clothes do you put on in working time?

It depends on the situation and location. At RVK, I wear a uniform. When I work in the main office, I wear a lab coat, and when I go to GFO, I dress in business casual.

Q Where is your main working place?

The current situation is that my work location is divided between the main office, RVK, and GFO in a ratio of 2:2:1 respectively. I arrange the location for the following week's work on Fridays and adjust it as necessary.

Q Where is your favorite place at office?

The garden at RVK. Every time I see it, my mood improves.
It has its unique charm in every season - the cherry blossoms of spring, the verdant bamboo of summer, the autumn maples, and the winter snow (sometimes).
