We use the cell handling technology of our skincare business and the sterile manufacturing environment of our eye care business for efforts in regenerative medicine. New treatment procedures will contribute to unmet medical needs (areas of medical demand where treatments do not yet exist for patients). We will innovate for the future of health.

Basic research
Face challenges in a wide range of fields. For example, explore and elucidate new mechanisms in organs such as the skin and eyes related to diseases and customer concerns, evaluate medicinal effects, establish new evaluation systems, explore unprecedent functional materials, and develop new testing technology and methods.

Product development
Based on scientific evidence, develop product formulas for eye care, skincare, oral medication, and food. Also, develop manufacturing technology (emulsification, dispersion, forming, etc.) with the aim of creating products that please and surprise customers, not only in terms of ingredients, but also through feeling of use.

Quality and safety design
Evaluate and assure product safety, efficacy, and stability. Establish testing and analytical methods and obtain analytical results as needed through evaluations, obtain and evaluate data on efficacy, and create documents needed for authorization from the authorities.

Intellectual property, patents, and pharmaceutical affairs
Protect technology and products created for customers, make arrangements to ensure products are sold legally, and communicate with the authorities. Regenerative medicine
Be involved in treatment using stem cells where there are unmet medical needs and satisfactory therapies do not yet exist. In addition to manufacturing cells, research and create businesses to make regenerative medicine more approachable by developing technology for culture equipment and culture fluids and products using the concept of regeneration.
